Construction Manager:PRW Consultants
Cherry Hill Contract Value:$19.9 Million
Project Description:The project involved the installation of 5.4 miles of ballasted track adjacent to the existing single track. The project was undertaken to allow MTA to provide a higher frequency of trains and allow for scheduled maintenance with minimal disruptions on service. Cherry Hill worked with PRW Consultants to schedule an extended shut down of the live rail, which will accelerate the August 2006 complete date significantly.
The project was completed in November 2005, which was 9 months ahead of schedule. The team effort between MTA, PRW Consultants and Cherry Hill was essential to the ahead of schedule completion and the project being under budget.
