Project Description:Construction of new multiple span 4-lane bridge over existing active railroad lines and service road, with new intersection and ramp configurations. New work will replace at-grade intersection at New York Avenue with extended bridge and new access/egress ramps. Major items of work include the demolition of the existing bridge structure over an active city street and railroad right of way, maintenance of traffic (MOT), utility relocation and protection, construction of new bridge substructure and superstructure, and construction of MSE and retaining walls.
Special Features:Tie-ins to existing major urban route (New York Ave.). Multiple utility relocation tasks. Complex land dispositions for right of way.
