Project Description:The 30 month Project encompassed widening CR-54 from an existing single lane road to a four lane divided highway with raised median. The Project also included widening the shoulders on US17-92 and overlaying the existing roadway.
Construction included the installation of over 27,200 LF of HDPE and RCP storm drainage ranging form 15" to 54" diameter, as well as the installation of trench drain in three locations. Four Storm Water ponds were constructed with two requiring the installation of impermiable PVC liners. Relocation of existing utilities was required throughout the Project.
Temporary and permanent sheet piles were used to support the excavtion of over 13,000 cy of unsuitable subsoil.
Concrete work included eighteen cast in place gravity walls, coping on the permanent sheet piling, Type D, E, and F curb, 4" sidewalk, 6" driveways, concrete traffic separators, and a variable height barrier wall.
