Candidates should be civil engineering graduates, have a good academic
record, possess effective problem-solving and communication skills and
have five years or more of construction work experience. Professional
registration is preferred, but not required.
Project Engineer position reports to the Project Manager. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise engineering staff.
- Maintain all current project documents including; redline
revisions, subcontracts, purchase orders, submittals and source of
supply.
- Develop and maintain submittal log and ensure all are submitted in a timely manner.
- Set up purchase order for jobsite materials, track material certifications and other information required by source of supply.
- Verify receipt of all rental materials for the jobsite. Maintain weekly rental and equipment logs.
- Perform CPM Schedule updates and assist Superintendent in preparing 2 week look-ahead schedules.
- Track all changes and associated costs.
- Ensure all required field tests are being performed and logged for quick reference.
- Ensure Specifications, Plans, Submittals and Shop Drawings are being strictly followed.
- Be proactive in the project and company safety program and ensure all safety policies are being followed.
